Chi-Town artist Josh Young invades Toronto on Fri the 13th Excited YehMe2

Submitted by on October 3, 2017 – 4:26 pmNo Comment

After 11 yrs as one half of the Iconic electronic duo Flosstradamus, the group who helped usher in the Trap music genre. In 2016 Josh decided he wanted to choose a road less taken and like a caterpillar who cocoons to become a majestic butterfly so to did J2K, who under went a metamorphosis and when he emerged became YehMe2.

Now as YehMe2, Young was his own boss and had full creative control, so as the old adage goes the sky is limit for him now.  The first challenged he issued himself was to make a new beat every day for 30 days, this lead to the creation of his mixtape Steal this. As if creating a mixtape with 32 tracks of originals, remixes and dope mash-ups wasn’t enough. He then went into the new year issuing himself another beat a day challenge the results of this challenge resulted in Steal this Mixtape 2.

The creative output of Young under the moniker YehMe2 is staggering, 60 tracks in under a year and a half. To give this some perspective most electronic artists create and produce around 10-20 tracks in any given year.

He is a taste of what I imagine can be expected at his upcoming concert in Toronto on Friday the 13th
