Vire wants to “Control You”

Submitted by on February 10, 2015 – 10:51 amNo Comment

The video for Control You re-imagines VIRE as a robo-drummer living in indefinite storage in a dank basement, to be turned on and off at his master’s whim. The lines between master and mastered blur as the song pulses forward, and VIRE ultimately gets put back into storage to wait for the next session.

For those who need an introduction VIRE is a one-man electronic “Human Drum Machine” that combines electro, post-punk, noise, and dance music.  All this danceable chaos comes from a single musician, a live drummer playing all the beats and triggering all the samples in real time.

His Latest Ep Human Contact is Noisy, distorted, and a little disturbing, yet also really danceable at the same time, VIRE is probably one of the more interesting electronic acts coming up.
