Submitted by on October 11, 2014 – 10:12 pmNo Comment

_MG_4020The Rivioli on Toronto’s Queen Street West (recently named second hippest neighbourhood in the world) played host to the opening VIP party and show of Toronto’s Indie Week – and the entertainment was none other than Sumo Cyco.

The band won the show at Indie Week Toronto in 2013 and in consequence, attended Indie Week Ireland in Limerick in April 2014.

Just about a hundred industry and media folks came out to network socialize. The usual Indie Week party had drinks sponsored by Mill St. Brewery and food platters consisting of sliders, hors derves, wings and nachos good time was had by all.

Indie Week and the Reel Indie Film Festival (all film screenings take place at The Royal – 608 College St.) take place during the week of Oct. 15-19 all day every day, and you can visit the festival website for full listings, and check out a photo gallery from the VIP party featuring Sumo Cyco, as well as a video preview with the band themselves.
