Sons of Revelry revealing a new rock regime

Toby BlackThere’s a lot to be said for a band that gets into the business and doesn’t care about the money, even though everyone starting out says that.

But no, the tale of the Sons of Revelry is more of a riches to rags story than one of rags to riches, so to speak.

Lead singer and guitarist of the band, Toby Black, started this band only three months ago with friends Rory Jackson, Arron James and Sean Boyle. The reason for their modest success so far and fast forwarded advancement in the industry comes largely from a fat stack of start-up capital Black had from his past life.

Don’t jump to conclusions, it’s all legit money.Sons of RevelryBlack, who emigrated from Scotland to North American at the age of 16, to play hockey no less, created a multimillion dollar enterprise built on internet marketing, a company he formed from the ground up with his wife Layla Black.

The band has no problem admitting that this gave them an early advantage from the beginning, for many reasons including the fact that it removes all minutia and distractions from getting in the way of their musical goals and achievements.

Unlike most bands, they have the freedom and funds to completely focus on their work as a band. Which really reflects in their work, their relentless self-promotion, and their plethora of music already created for having such a short life span.

Hailing from Brantford, Ont. About an hour north of Toronto, the band has one simple goal now that all their other goals in life have clearly already been achieved. They simply want to “To create a true inspiring musical experience for anyone and everyone who decides to listen,” according to the bands biographical section of their Facebook page.Sons of RevelryToby Black SORTheir debut EP “Born with a Bigga Goal” is staged to be released in the coming weeks, and has been creating a stir amongst fans and family alike, everyone excited to see what is going to come out of this live recording from these vivaciously talented euphoric rockers.

Martyr dropped by the Horseshoe Tavern at the end of August to see what all the hype was about, when they played with the Ascot Royals also of Ontario, since it’s such an enigma to hear so much about a band that has barely passed their probationary period, metaphorically speaking.

They delivered on all accusations of musical prowess, stage finesse and 60s rock revival .

It’s exciting to see what these guys will have to offer in the near future, being that they have already delivered so much promise in the mere three months since their inception.
