Sheepdogs have every reason to be feeling good

Submitted by on January 14, 2013 – 12:57 pmNo Comment

Surreal would be the only simple way to describe the ride for modest four-pack rockers The Sheepdogs since winning Rolling Stone’s “Choose The Cover” competition a couple years back. Virtually unknown when they entered the contest, the band beat out 15 other acts to become the first unsigned outfit to capture the magazine’s coveted cover in its near-50-year history. Perhaps more impressive than taking home seven of eight awards they’ve been nominated for since 2011, is the fact the band’s latest record is produced by Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney. A more fitting collaboration would be hard to find, as evidenced on the aptly titled “Feeling Good,” the latest single from the self-titled major label debut by the boys from humble roots in Saskatoon, SK.
