Empire Isis refs a roller derby in “Nana Power” video

Submitted by on April 24, 2012 – 10:36 pmNo Comment

The latest from Montreal gangstress Empire Isis’ Crack The Code album is a pro-women anthem that sees Isis referee an all-female roller derby featuring the Montreal Roller Derby girls. Over a heavy and dirty beat produced by KOVAS, Isis, real name Miriam Moufide, roars “girls, girls, girls, rule the world.” The video for “Nana Power” is dedicated to Amina Filali, the 16-year-old girl from Morocco who committed suicide by swallowing rat poison after she was forced to marry the man who raped her.
