Gangstress shoots to thrill with “Bang Bang”

A follow-up to her sophomore soundscape, 2009’s dancehall anthem Brand New Style, Empire ISIS’ (aka The Gangstress) Crack the Code marks the third album by the Montreal-based Monumental Records product. Crack the Code, like BNS,  is something of an amalgam of dancehall, reggae, hip-hop and, as evidenced in this latest single from the album, “Bang Bang,” pop, for which artist and social activist Miriam Moufide has become best known for bringing to the table.
