Rangleklods Invades North America

As the rather nonsensical name indicates, Rangleklods represents a playful and experimental approach to composing danceable yet thought-provoking music. Embracing both an astounding complexity in their productions and a sense of immediacy in their approach to songwriting, Rangleklods consist of Esben Nørskov and Pernille Smith Sivertsen who push the boundaries of genre and production methods to create intelligent club music, which generates movement – both physically and mentally.

Rising Danish electro pop duo, Rangleklods’ sound and style has been compared by the media to that of Crystal Castles, the duo explore the darker side of electro pop while embracing sexy mid-tempo beats. They’ll be making their US debut at this year’s SXSW where their live show will surely induce floor shaking rhythms.
Rangleklods expand the physical and artistic framework of the electronic live-concert by implementing live vocals, instruments and an impressive amount of controllers through which the computer is materialised as an instrument of unreachable limits. This involves Esbens’ homebuild device, not unlike the theremin, where the sound is altered by use of distance measuring sensors. Furthermore, Pernille’s live percussion and synth are contributing elements to the different and riveting live experience of a Rangleklods concert.
The reputation of Rangleklods’ live shows has spread throughout the international music scene the past year, which has resulted in significant festival gigs all over Europe. We hope they make their way to Canadian shores soon.
