Breached Launches Canada’s First Interactive Video
On January 26th,Toronto rock band BREACHED officially pushed the envelope of what a music video is and took it to the next level by embracing the digital age. Breached partnered with production companies Love and Crossbones and Visual Arcade Inc to create Canada’s first fully interactive music video showcasing their newest single “Piece By Piece.”
In this interactive experience, viewers “choose their own adventure” by clicking a series of icons that appear throughout the video, sending them on a personally catered adventure with 4 various endings. Depending on which path is chosen, an acoustic version of the song is featured giving insight into the diverse range of the band’s talent. With this cutting edge video, Breached solidifies itself as the first band in Canada to release a fully immersive and interactive music video that is available on all platforms across all devices be it tablet, desktop, or mobile.
“We’re excited to be the first Canadian band to create a multi-platform interactive music video. The opportunity to make a “choose your own adventure” video and harness this groundbreaking technology was one we were very excited about and we had a great time shooting the video.” says Bobby Noakes of Breached.
Breached was formed in late 2010 when four men met in an undisclosed hospital delivery room. No one will ever know what transpired that day other than that it inspired something big, something that could only be expressed through music.
Creating an alluring blend of melodious, metal-tinged rock ‘n roll, it didn’t take long for Breached to start winning over fans with their high-energy live shows and polished EPs. The band’s tight harmonies and nail-hitting screams combined with overdriven guitars, intricate tempos and powerful lyrics have put them in front of audiences across Canada and the US playing alongside bands such as: Hollerado, PUP, One Bad Son, The OBGMs and more.
With the digital release of the single “Piece By Piece” on iTunes, Breached are now staring down the barrel of the first half of 2015, as they set their sights to release their first full-length album and tour the UK.
