Dan-e-o talks hip-hop, Toronto, and worldwide
The first single and video from the EP, one of many from his dozens and dozens of complete works, touches on many subjects dear to Dan-e-o and future generations of entrepreneurial emcees, and artists alike.
Joined on the mic by Big Kish and Maestro Fresh Wes, two other prominent Canadian microphone masters, “Worldwide Vapours” discusses the topics of Toronto’s emcees being labeled as inferior or not being “able” to compete on a global scale, among many other social topics.
Dan-e-o has been feeding the fans food for thought like this since ’91 and still going strong. His use of imagery and metaphors has a way of making a simple message sink in a little deeper, with something for almost anyone to relate to.
To say the least, he’s one of the only Canadian hip-hop artists giving the likes of Moka Only a run for his money when it comes to career longevity and album count.
