Wacken semifinals over, five contenders now

Vesperia claims victoryWell folks, the results from the semifinals of the Wacken Open Air battle are finally in, and the three bands left standing from Toronto are Crimson Shadows, Adrenechrome, and Vesperia.

The final round of Wacken Metal Battle Canada took place Friday, June 7 at the Rivoli in Toronto, where the last bands standing faced off for the last spots available, the winner of the night being Vesperia.Between Panzerfaust, Slyde, Spewgore, and Vesperia, it was an intense and difficult to judge metal contest, and I think in the end it came down to who best fit the bill for the battle.SpewGore PanzerfaustThe finals will take place June 22, at the Opera House in Toronto, and will feature five bands from both Toronto and Montreal, competing still for the final prize of being on stage in Wacken, Germany, for the Wacken Open Air festival.
