Highlights from Canadian Radio Music Awards

The most anticipated part of Canadian Music Week – the Canadian Radio Music Awards.

Internationally acclaimed musicians Carly Rae Jepsen and Marianas Trench front man Josh Ramsay were the big winners at the 2013 CRMAs.

Jepsen, who is also up for five Junos in April, received the Sennheiser Chart Topper Award while her viral hit “Call Me Maybe,” co-written by Tavish Crowe and Ramsay, won SOCAN song of the year.

Ramsay and company went head to head and bested the rest of Canada’s most sought after exports to claim the coveted Fan’s Choice Award.

Other notable winners at the Canadian Music Week event were Drakes’s protege, Weeknd, who claimed the Factor Breakthrough Award, Calgary natives, Tegan & Sara, who took home best new group for dance/urban/rhythmic category and Toronto’s own folk-pop singer-songwriter Serena Ryder who won the Heartseeker Award.

R&B pop star Rihanna who was in town for a few shows took home International Solo Artist of the year.

New York based indie/pop act Fun took International Group of the Year award.List of award winners:
