Billy Talent have a “Surprise Surprise” up the sleeve

The video for the second single off Dead Silence, the recently released fifth studio album from campus punk rockers Billy Talent, “Surprise Surprise” is arguably the most fitting visual accompaniment the band has matched its music to in some years. Directed by Edmonton’s Michael Maxxis, the video for “Surprise Surprise” sees the four-pack quite literally gear up and go to war.  Bassist Jonathan Gallant was accurate in describing the aesthetic of the video during pre-production: “Its gonna be awesome! Fighter planes, flying sharks, hipsters a pig man.” YouTube Preview Image
