Kubrick helms Sweatshop Union’s “Bill Murray”

Submitted by on April 14, 2012 – 11:06 pmNo Comment

Last year before the release of Sweatshop Union’s The Bill Murray, Mr. Marmalade was asked why the collective named its sixth album after the respected comedian. His answer was at first inconclusive. “We get asked that question a lot, and it’s funny we don’t have a go-to answer for it.” Marmalade, a sixth of the Vancouver crew, eventually reasoned, “He’s just one of those guys everyone can relate to and respect his art, and what he does in his everyday life. He does what he wants to do, not what he’s supposed to do.” For the Stuey Kubrick-directed video to the title track off the album, Sweatshop take their respect to the top left for Murray, as they dawn Ghostbusters gear in a nod to the legendary actor.
