D.O. considered fleeing Canada to chase the dream

Submitted by on April 19, 2012 – 4:01 pmNo Comment

“Coming from a country where success doesn’t bring you dough/ Seen them get frustrated, quit, and even fold/ Used to think all I needed was a manager/ Go down south flee and leave Canada.” The opening to “It’s On,” the latest from Defy The Odds’ (aka D.O.) upcoming Heavy In The Game, sets up like a scope on the Canadian music industry, but is quickly disarmed to reveal a song in praise of the Canadian Dream. D.O. is joined on the Classified-produced track by East Coast singer-songwriter Chad Hatcher and the video for “It’s On” is directed by Luke Hansen-Macdonald.
